Secondly, all of you are expected to get the following items purchased and prepared by 23rd April 2022, these will be used for your classes and cooking test.
Items to purchase:
1. Kiwi Shoe Polish (available in supermarkets) – Used to polish drill boots. – This brand of shoe polish is highly recommend.
2.Autosol metal polish (Hardware shop) – Used to polish metal parts. – We recommend the Autosol tube. Alternative to this is Brasso. But this is not recommended as it is liquid and can be a little messy.
3. Mess tin (available camping stores) – Used for cooking and doubles as a bowl/plate. – Will be used for recruits cooking test and any future camps. |
Other items to prepare:
- Smooth cloth
- this will be used to polish boots
- an example of cloth you can use: worn out/old clothes
- Rough cloth
- this will be used to polish metal parts
- an example of cloth you can use: used towels
