Dear Seniors,
The day we’ve been anticipating and preparing hard for is right around the corner! BB2SJ’s 23rd Awards Day is approaching in less than a week!
With that being said, here are the important details to take note of:
- Attached below is the schedule for our Awards Day next Saturday. Do take time to look through it.
- D-Day Practices
- Band members are expected to arrive in church by 8.00a.m.
- Worship practice will be held from 8.30a.m. – 9.30a.m.
- Following that, GOH practice will be held from 9.30a.m. – 10.30a.m.. All GOH, Colour Party, Emcees, and Band members’ attendance for this practice is COMPULSORY. You are expected to arrive at church by 9.00a.m. so that practices can be conducted smoothly.
- All members are encouraged to polish and prepare your uniform at home or come to church at 8:30 am to do so as there will be time constraints. Members are allowed to wear mufti, sports shoes and Bermudas for the practices.
Do reach out to your department PICs if you’re unable to attend the D-Day practices. Only valid reasons are accepted.

- Attire
The attire for Awards Day will be CEREMONIAL. Do refer to the BB handbook to get a better understanding of the attire. A few things to note:
- Iron your sleeves nicely and do not fold them
- Bring your sky blue tie and ask for help if you’re unsure of how to wear it
- Lunch
- Please place orders here by Thursday, 10pm. https://bit.ly/2sjlunch
- Others
- Do place all your belongings in Foyer C by 12.30p.m.
- Besides, please maintain the cleanliness of the Garden Cafe at all times, especially after eating, polishing and changing. Take good care of your belongings and do not misplace them.
- There would be NO PLACE to hang your mufti and Bermudas and to place your sports shoes. So do prepare a bag to keep your clothes and shoes in after practices.
All in all, I hope we would all be able to carry out our respective duties and responsibilities diligently. Our Awards Day is held annually to recognise and acknowledge each other’s growth and accomplishments throughout the year- and I definitely do see how we’re growing and learning every week through all our practices and preparations! Rest well and see you next week!
God bless,
LCpl Hannah
