To all seniors members,
As I have mentioned before, we will be having our long awaited cookout competition!!!! It will be held on 29/10/2022 and we will be cooking PASTA (any type of pasta is allowed)!
Details are stated below:
Participants:
- Seniors members (according to your current squads)
- Officers and ssgt
Courses:
- Appetizers
- Main
Duration of the session:
2 hours in total
- 1 hour 30 mins for cooking, washing and plating
- 30 mins for judging and eating
Ingredients:
- Ingredients needed to make the PASTA FROM SCRATCH You may refer to any recipes available online. Premade dough is not allowed as it MUST be made from scratch on the spot.
- Raw ingredients are allowed but please bring the sufficient amount of it. Any excess raw food will not be kept by us.
- Vegetables is required in either one/both of our courses. Toppings are not counted as vegetables (parsley, mint and etc)
- Pasta sauce can be purchase at supermarkets depending on the type of pasta you are making.
Budget:
- RM 5 per person
The budget of the squad may differs depends on how many members are in the squad, you can total up the budget and split it within your squad. Extra expenses won’t be covered by us, so please plan before you buy.
Example:
Squad 1 has 10 ppl, hence their total budget will be RM50. A member needs to buy pasta sauce and it cost RM5 for a bottle, the RM50 (total squad budget) will be used to pay for it.
Tools:
- Your 2 hands are the tool. Any machinery that has a gear inside is NOT ALLOWED
- Gas stove will be provided
- Any other necessary tools needed
Judging:
- 4 main factors (teamwork, nutrition/taste, plating and cleanliness/hygiene)
Other announcements:
- Please remember to bring your sports attire!
- Parade on 29/10 will end late. Hence, do inform your parents to come and fetch you at 5.30pm.
